“Common” Spotlights Growing Wave of Opposition, Devastating Impacts of “Experiment” on Healthcare, Schools, Public Safety, and Infrastructure
SACRAMENTO, CA – Moving swiftly to ensure Californians are informed about the devastating impacts of the “reckless wealth tax experiment” on the state’s core priorities and services, a new committee formed to oppose the measure – Californians to Protect Funding for Schools, Healthcare and Public Safety – released a new statewide 30-second ad today titled, “Common.”

Planned Parenthood, teachers, and major labor unions have one thing in common.
They all oppose the so-called “wealth tax” – a dangerous experiment that could cost California $25 billion in tax revenue, send good-paying jobs out of state, and cut vital funding from healthcare, schools, public safety, and infrastructure projects.
It’s no wonder leading Democrats are against the wealth tax.
California can’t afford the reckless wealth tax experiment.
The ad’s release comes in conjunction with the launch of Californians to Protect Funding for Schools, Healthcare and Public Safety, a new committee opposing the wealth tax led by the California Medical Association (CMA), California Primary Care Association (CPCA), and California School Boards Association (CSBA).
A broad and diverse coalition representing healthcare providers, educators, housing advocates, labor leaders and others continue to voice concerns about the wealth tax and its potential impacts on California’s economy and state budget.
Organizations that have announced opposition to the wealth tax in recent weeks include: the California Teachers Association (CTA), Planned Parenthood Affiliates of California (PPAC), California Hospital Association (CHA), and Peace Officers Research Association (PORAC), among many others.
