How will Prop 40 deliver on its promises when the state’s tax base is already eroding?

Fact checking the false and misleading claim that Prop 40 won’t impact California’s economy or lead those subject to the tax to depart the state.

“…Prop. 40 includes no guarantee that its funding will reduce costs for patients or improve the care they receive. That means health insurers and pharmaceutical companies could reap the biggest benefits, while our patients are left behind.”

These legislators, representing millions of Californians, join other prominent California Democrats opposed to the measure.
